Upcoming New Bikes in India 2010

A new year has just begun and there will be many upcoming bikes in India 2010. The young generation is gearing up to meet some new friends. People have already started to look for the upcoming bikes.

There is good news for all bikers that the Bike companies will not put you down. There are plenty of new bikes to be introduced this year. Bikes are introduced into our lives from World War I and we heavily depend on these.

Over 500 types of bikes are made in India. There are several types of bikes found. They are basically street, dual purpose and off-road purposes. These totally depend on the surface where it should be ridden.

Each type of bikes is designed in different kinds of riding and such postures. Bikes also have varied and broad capacity of sitting and storage space.

So, some of the upcoming & latest motorcycles in India for the year 2010 are mentioned here.

Honda CB Twister is another latest Motorcycle from Honda India. This is a bike which is only of 110cc with the base price of Rs. 42000. It is one of the stylish looking bikes which look aggressive and sporty. It also consists of halogen headlamps of 12V 35/35 W. CB Twister consists of 4 stroke engine with a fuel tank of 8 liters. It is India’s first ever clutch-less bike.

Bajaj Auto has come up with a new "unfaired version" of Bajaj Pulsar Model. This new variant is called Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i S. This version is not having the projector lamps and sports a half fairing. Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i S is having a Price Tag of around INR 80000.

TVS Motors is planning to launch a new 220cc Apache around April 2010. This TVS Apache RTR 220 is expected to feature an engine with 22 bhp of power. The Apache RTR220 will have a stylish new look along with new half fairing & ABS Technology.

Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is one of the new bikes in India in the year 2010. After much waiting Bajaj has finally launched this bike. The bike has the same featured headlight like Bajaj XCD. This XCD Sprint Concept which was showcased in the Auto Expo in the year 2008 in New Delhi. It is a commuter type of bike. It weighs only 122 kg. It has a fuel tank of 8 liters. The bike is available with the colors of black and red.

HMSI India has been seeking to enter the 250cc motorcycle segment in the biggest 2 wheeler market of the world for long. This bike could be launched around a price range of INR 1.5 Lakh. This new model could well be the 250cc Honda CBX Twister.

Bajaj Auto will launch another new variant of Pulsar 150 Bike shortly. This 2010 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is going to have a new power rating of 15.06 PS as compared to last year model. The top speed of this new variant is also expected to be a notch higher.

Suzuki India will unveil two new Sport Bikes in India. The first Model is the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and the second one is Suzuki Bandit 1250S. These two models are expected to be launched in the month of February 2010 in the price range of INR 9 Lakh to INR 13 Lakh.

Mahindra Two Wheelers India showcased a concept Super Bike during Auto Expo 2010 & as per the current buzz, the company is right on track to launch such a bike in India soon. The company is also looking for international joint venture and is currently talking with some big names. It is still not clear when this bike will be launched. We hope it comes soon !!

That is my take on the latest Motorcycle Models which are going to create lot of buzz in the Indian 2 Wheelers market.
